Ingredients:
- 250 g seitan
- 4 pita breads
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tomato
- Lettuce (e.g., iceberg lettuce)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- (Optional) Sauce, such as tahini sauce or yogurt sauce
Instructions:
1. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the bell pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the onion and garlic. Sauté until they are soft.
3. Add the bell pepper and seitan to the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the seitan is nicely browned. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Warm the pita breads according to package instructions.
5. Fill the warm pita breads with the seitan mixture.
6. Add sliced cucumber, tomato, and lettuce as toppings.
7. Drizzle with your choice of sauce, if desired, and enjoy!
