This delicious seitan recipe is a great addition to a vegetarian diet, packed with flavor and protein. Seitan is an excellent meat substitute and easy to make at home.

Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

- Dough
- 2 ½ cups vital wheat gluten
- ⅓ cup soy granules
- ⅓ cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 4 tsp paprika
- Broth
- 2 ½ cups water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable bouillon powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix the vital wheat gluten, soy granules, nutritional yeast, ground ginger, and paprika.
2. Add ¾ cup of water and stir until the dough is smooth. Add more water as needed until the dough is elastic.
3. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes stretchy.
4. Shape the dough into your desired form and set aside.
5. Prepare the broth by combining water, soy sauce, vegetable bouillon powder, and minced garlic in a pot.
6. Bring the broth to a boil, then add the seitan dough. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
7. Remove the seitan from the broth and let it cool before using it in your recipes.
