A fresh and vibrant Mexican salsa that showcases the colors of the Mexican flag using tomatoes, white onion, and jalapeño. This salsa is a perfect accompaniment to many Mexican dishes. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 white onion
- 1-2 fresh jalapeños or serranos
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Remove the stems and seeds from the tomatoes, then dice them.
2. Peel the white onion and dice it to your desired size.
3. Finely chop the jalapeño, removing the seeds first.
4. Chop the cilantro finely.
5. In a bowl, combine all the diced ingredients.
6. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and season with salt.
7. Mix well and serve.
