A delicious and nutritious rye loaf bread that is easy to make and a perfect addition to your kitchen. This recipe yields two loaf breads. Preparation Time: 1 night + 1.5 hours
Serving Size: 2 loaf breads
Ingredients
Starter Dough: - 1 liter water
- 10-11 dl (organic) rye flour
- 2 dl rye flakes
- 2 dl wheat flakes
- 1 dl three-grain bran
- Approximately 2 dl rye starter
Next Day Ingredients:
- 1 dl syrup
- 2 dl sunflower seeds
- 1 dl three-grain bran
- 2 dl (organic) spelt flour
- 1 dl (organic) rye flour
- 2-3 tsp salt
Topping:
- Seeds
Instructions
1. Combine all starter dough ingredients in a large bowl. Allow the dough to ferment overnight. 2. The next day, add syrup, sunflower seeds, three-grain bran, spelt flour, rye flour, and salt to the bowl. Mix well.
3. Pour the dough into loaf pans and sprinkle seeds on top of the loaves.
4. Let the loaves rise for about half an hour.
5. Bake the loaves in the oven at 175°C (347°F) for about 1.5 hours.
6. Wrap the loaves in a kitchen towel and let them cool for a moment before removing them from the pans.
7. Wrap the loaves back in the kitchen towel to prevent them from drying out.
