Delicious and fiber-rich rye and wheat bran buns perfect for breakfast or a snack. Preparation time is about 1 hour, and this recipe yields approximately 12 buns.
Ingredients:
- 1 dl wheat bran
- 1 dl rye bran
- 1 fresh yeast cube
- 0.75 tsp canola oil
- 4 dl bread flour
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 dl water
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix lukewarm water with crumbled yeast.
2. Add wheat bran and rye bran to the mixture.
3. Incorporate salt, canola oil, and sugar.
4. Mix well and gradually add bread flour to the dough.
5. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
6. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
7. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape them into buns.
8. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
9. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 15-20 minutes, until the buns are beautifully golden brown.
