Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 300 g ground meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 cup rice
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside to cool.
3. Chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them in a pan with oil until soft.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
5. Combine the cooked meat and onions with the cooked rice and crushed tomatoes. Mix well.
6. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Fill the peppers with the rice and meat mixture.
7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour a little crushed tomato on top.
8. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the peppers.
9. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
