- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 g cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 zucchini
- 100 g peas (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Dice the bell pepper and zucchini.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
4. Add the bell pepper and zucchini, cooking for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
5. Stir in the peas, cream, and cooked pasta. Mix well and heat for a few minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water.
6. Season with salt and pepper. If desired, garnish with fresh basil before serving.
