Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes - 1 liter oil (such as canola oil) for frying
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- (Optional) Fresh parsley or rosemary for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips lengthwise.2. Rinse the potato strips in cold water and dry them well with paper towels.
3. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
4. Fry the potato strips in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries and place them on paper towels to drain.
6. Season with salt and black pepper.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or rosemary if desired.
