Ingredients
- 2 eggs - 1½ dl sugar
- 1½ dl syrup
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp cardamom
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 dl melted butter
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan. 2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
3. Add the syrup and mix well.
4. Combine the spices (cloves, cinnamon, cardamom) with the flour and baking powder.
5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg-sugar mixture, alternating with the melted butter. Stir until a smooth batter forms.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
