Fried Baltic Herring with Taramosalata Sauce

*Deliciously crispy fried herring served with a creamy taramosalata dip.* Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g Baltic herring - 1 dl all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 dl oil for frying
Taramosalata Sauce:
- 100 g taramosalata
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Rinse the herring thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. 2. Season the herring with salt and coat them in flour.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
4. Fry the herring for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
5. Prepare the taramosalata sauce by mixing taramosalata, sour cream, lemon juice, and black pepper in a bowl.
6. Serve the fried herring hot with the taramosalata sauce on the side.
