This delicious chicken pasta is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 400 g chicken breast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the bell pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for about 2 minutes.
4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until they are done and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Add the bell pepper and cook for a few more minutes.
6. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add basil, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
7. Stir the cooked pasta into the sauce and heat through for a moment.
8. Serve with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
