A delicious chutney that combines the tart flavor of redcurrants with the sweetness of red onions, making it a perfect accompaniment for meat dishes or cheese platters.

Serving Size: About 300 ml
Ingredients:
- 2 dl preserving sugar
- 5 dl redcurrants
- Water (as needed)
- 5 dl sliced red onion
Instructions:
1. Slice the red onions into half-moons.
2. Sauté the onions in a small amount of water for about 10 minutes until they soften.
3. Add the redcurrants and preserving sugar to the onion mixture.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes until the chutney thickens.
5. Pour the finished chutney into clean glass jars and let it cool.
