A delicious apple chutney that pairs perfectly with meat and cheese dishes. Easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator.
Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: About 4-5 jars
Ingredients:
- 4-5 apples
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl vinegar (e.g. apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
1. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and chop them into pieces.
2. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic cloves.
3. Place all ingredients in a pot, heat to a boil, and simmer gently for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Allow the chutney to cool for about 15 minutes, then jar it. Store the chutney in the refrigerator.
