Voisilmäpullat (Finnish Butter Eye Buns)

Ingredients:
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 dl water (or milk)
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 0.5 dl oil (or margarine)
- 1 tsp salt
- For filling: butter and sugar
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix warm water with sugar and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to activate.
2. Add oil, salt, and gradually incorporate the flour, kneading the dough until it is elastic and pulls away from the bowl edges.
3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until it doubles in size.
4. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet and cut it into squares of approximately 8 cm x 8 cm.
5. Press down in the center of each square to create a well and fill it with a mixture of butter and sugar.
6. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 10-15 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown.
8. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
