A delicious and nutritious dish perfect for autumn and winter meals, combining sweet carrots and hearty barley.Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g barley- 500 ml water
- 200 ml milk
- 400 g carrots (grated)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp syrup
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
1. Cook the barley in water with salt according to package instructions until soft. Drain any excess water.2. Grate the carrots finely.
3. In a bowl, mix the cooked barley, grated carrots, milk, syrup, and eggs. Stir well.
4. Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture into it.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
