A delicious and nutritious buttermilk bread that is quick and effortless to bake, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 2 loaves

Ingredients:

- 1 dl sunflower seeds
- 1 dl flaxseeds
- 1/2 dl sesame seeds
- 1 dl rye flakes
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp salt (rose salt)
- 1 dl dark syrup
- 2 grated carrots
- 4 1/2 dl coarse rye flour
- 1 1/2 dl malted bread
- 1 1/2 dl oats
- 1/2 dl wheat bran (or oat bran)
- 8 dl wheat flour
- 1 l buttermilk
Topping:
- Oats and bran for sprinkling

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients well.
3. Add the buttermilk and stir until the dough is sticky.
4. Divide the dough into two 1.5-liter bread pans lined with parchment paper.
5. Sprinkle oats and bran on top.
6. Bake on the lower rack of the oven for about 1.5 hours.
7. Allow to cool in the pans.
8. Wrap the loaves in kitchen towels and let rest for a few hours before slicing.
