Ingredients

- 5 dl water
- 1 kg pork shoulder (salted)
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 4 beetroots
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 4 drops of Tabasco
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 3 carrots
- 1 onion
- 4 dl wild mushrooms (e.g., chanterelles)
- 1 tsp allspice

Instructions

1. Cut the pork shoulder into pieces and remove excess fat and skin.
2. Dice the beetroots, carrots, and onion.
3. In a large pot, heat the water and add the beef bouillon cubes and black pepper.
4. Add the pork pieces to the pot and cook for about 30 minutes.
5. Add the diced vegetables, garlic cloves, and wild mushrooms.
6. Season the mixture with Tabasco, balsamic vinegar, and allspice.
7. Simmer the stew on low heat for about 1 hour, until the meat and vegetables are tender.
8. Serve warm.
