A delicious and elegant dish, peppery salmon is perfect as an appetizer or a light meal. Preparation Time: 30 minutes + 24 hours marinating time
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g salmon fillet, bones removed - 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp black pepper, crushed
- 1 tsp dill (or thyme/lemon verbena)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Slices of rye bread
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the salt, sugar, crushed black pepper, and dill (or chosen herbs).2. Rub the mixture evenly over the surface of the salmon fillet.
3. Wrap the salmon fillet tightly in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 24 hours.
4. Remove the salmon from the refrigerator and slice it thinly.
5. Serve the peppery salmon on top of the rye bread slices.
