Delicious and decorative gingerbread cookies perfect for the holiday season. You can decorate them as you wish with royal icing for a stunning finish.

Serving Size: About 30 cookies

Ingredients:

- 250 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dl cream
- 800 g all-purpose flour

Royal Icing:

- 250 g royal icing powder
- 1 dl water
- 200 g powdered sugar

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter in a pot, then add sugar and syrup. Mix well.
2. Add spices, baking soda, salt, and cream. Stir until smooth.
3. Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour until the dough is even and elastic.
4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
5. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out desired shapes for the cookies.
6. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
7. Prepare the royal icing: Whip the royal icing powder with water and powdered sugar using an electric mixer until fluffy and pipeable.
8. Decorate the cooled cookies with royal icing according to your preference.
