Serving Size: 20-30 cookies
Ingredients:
- 200 g gingerbread dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg (optional, for a richer flavor)
- A pinch of salt
- Decorations (e.g., icing, sprinkles)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Take the gingerbread dough out to room temperature and knead until smooth.
3. Add sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, baking soda, and a pinch of salt to the dough. Mix well.
4. If using an egg, crack it in and mix into the dough.
5. Roll the dough out to about 0.5 cm thick on a floured surface.
6. Cut the dough into desired shapes and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Decorate the cookies before baking if desired.
8. Bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown.
9. Allow the cookies to cool before serving.
