A delicious rectangular pizza topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and your choice of toppings. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 6-8 slices
Ingredients:
- 500 g pizza flour
- 300 ml warm water
- 15 g salt
- 10 g sugar
- 7 g dry yeast
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 200 g tomato sauce
- 250 g mozzarella cheese
- 150 g of your choice of toppings (e.g., pepperoni, vegetables, olives)
- Fresh basil
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the warm water with sugar and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
2. In another bowl, combine the pizza flour and salt. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture.
3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
4. Once risen, roll the dough into a rectangular shape about 1 cm thick.
5. Place the dough in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
7. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough. Add slices of mozzarella and your chosen toppings.
8. Bake the pizza in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle fresh basil on top and cut into rectangular slices.
10. Serve warm and enjoy!
