Ingredients:
- 2 cups warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) dry yeast
- 8 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, warm the water and add the dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and add the olive oil.
4. Mix until a dough forms, then knead by hand or with a mixer until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
6. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to your desired thickness for pizza crusts.
7. Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
