Quick Doughnuts with Baking Powder

These quick doughnuts are easy to make with baking powder. Perfect for celebrations or just a sweet treat! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12-15 doughnuts
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs - 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 dl milk
- 50 g butter (melted)
- 4 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 l canola oil (for frying)
- Sugar (for rolling)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, beat the eggs and add sugar, salt, cardamom, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir quickly until the batter is smooth. Avoid breaking the air bubbles.
4. Heat the canola oil to about 180°C (356°F).
5. Use two spoons to form small balls from the batter, dipping the spoons in oil first for easier handling.
6. Fry the doughnuts in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
7. Place the fried doughnuts on paper towels to drain excess oil.
8. Roll the doughnuts in sugar before serving. If serving the next day, it's best to coat them in sugar then.
