Ingredients:
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 100 g nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts)
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan oven).
2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and vanilla sugar.
3. Add the eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
4. Chop the nuts into small pieces and fold them into the dough.
5. Shape the dough into two long logs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
7. Remove the logs from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes.
8. Slice the logs into pieces and place the slices back on the baking sheet.
9. Bake the slices for an additional 10-15 minutes until they are crisp.
10. Allow the cantuccini to cool completely before serving.
