Description: A delicious and aromatic sauce made with fresh basil, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for pasta, bread, or as a dip. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: Makes about 1 cup
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of fresh basil
- 1/3 bunch of fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups olive oil
Instructions:
1. Rinse the basil and parsley thoroughly under cold water.
2. In a blender or food processor, combine the basil, parsley, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and salt.
3. Blend the ingredients until well combined and a paste-like consistency is achieved.
4. Gradually add the olive oil while blending until the pesto reaches your desired consistency.
5. Taste the pesto and adjust the flavor by adding more salt or Parmesan if needed.
6. Serve the pesto with pasta, bread, or use it as a dip for vegetables.
