A delicious Swiss dough roll filled with pesto and Parmesan cheese, perfect as an appetizer or snack. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g Swiss dough
- 150 g pesto
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
1. Prepare the dough: Roll out the Swiss dough into a flat sheet.
2. Spread the pesto evenly over the dough.
3. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the pesto.
4. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
5. Cut the log into slices about 3 cm thick.
6. Place the slices in a greased baking dish, slightly overlapping.
7. Cover the dish with a cloth and let it rise for about 30-40 minutes.
8. Brush the risen slices with the beaten egg and season with salt and black pepper.
9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
