A delicious and easy-to-make Boston bun filled with Nutella. Perfect as a treat for coffee time or dessert! Preparation Time: 1 hour (plus rising time)
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 2.5 dl milk
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 7-8 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl Nutella
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.
2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, vanilla sugar, and one egg. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour until the dough is elastic and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle and spread Nutella evenly over the surface.
6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into slices about 3-4 cm thick.
7. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover lightly, and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
8. Brush the buns with beaten egg and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown.
9. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
