A delicious and soft pastry combining sweet raspberry jam and flavorful spices. Perfect for coffee breaks or as a dessert.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 10-12 servings

Ingredients

- 2.5 dl milk
- 100 g butter
- 1-2 dl raspberry jam
- 1.5 tsp cardamom
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 egg (+ 1 for brushing)
- 1.5 tsp vanilla sugar
- 6-8 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 packet dry yeast

Instructions

1. Allow the butter to soften at room temperature.
2. Mix the dry yeast and cardamom into the all-purpose flour.
3. Warm the milk in the microwave until it’s warm but not boiling.
4. Combine the warm milk with the flour and yeast mixture along with the sugars (regular and vanilla).
5. Add the softened butter and egg to the dough. Mix until smooth.
6. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour until the dough reaches a suitable thickness.
7. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
8. Roll out the dough into a flat sheet and spread raspberry jam over it.
9. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into pieces.
10. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with the beaten egg.
11. Let them rise for another 15-20 minutes before baking.
12. Bake at 175°C (345°F) for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
