Ingredients:

- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 dl milk
- 50 g butter
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- (Optional) 1/2 dl cream or sour cream

Instructions:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized pieces.
2. Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes, until fully cooked.
3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
4. Add the butter and milk. You can also add cream or sour cream for a richer flavor.
5. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or ricer until you achieve your desired consistency.
6. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix well and serve immediately while warm.
