A delicious and hearty sausage stew enriched with cabbage, adding depth and sweetness. Preparation time: 40 minutes
Serving size: 4
Ingredients:
- 400 g sausage (e.g., chorizo or hot dog sausage)
- 1 small cabbage (about 500 g), chopped
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 dl vegetable broth
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until it gets a nice color.
3. Stir in the cabbage and potatoes, mixing well.
4. Season with paprika powder, salt, and black pepper. Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the stew simmer with the lid on for about 20-25 minutes, until the cabbage and potatoes are tender.
6. Serve hot and garnish with fresh herbs.
