Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef or pork - 1 large onion
- 3-4 potatoes
- 2 dl rice
- 1 l vegetable or meat broth
- 2 dl cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)
- 1 package of ready-made pie crust
Instructions:
1. Peel and dice the onion and potatoes into small cubes. 2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion until golden brown.
3. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
4. Cook the rice in the meat broth according to the package instructions.
5. In a large bowl, mix the cooked ground meat, cooked rice, diced potatoes, cream, and eggs. Add fresh thyme if desired.
6. Roll out the pie crust and spread it in a baking tray. Pour the filling over the crust.
7. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for about 30-40 minutes or until the top is beautifully golden.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
