A refreshing and sweet drink perfect for summer celebrations. This recipe is easy to make at home and is a great alternative to sodas. Preparation Time: 2-3 days
Serving Size: Approximately 8 liters
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg brown sugar - 1/2 kg white sugar
- 2-3 lemons
- 1 large apple
- 8 liters water
- Raisins
- 1/4 tsp fresh yeast
Instructions:
1. Boil the water in a large pot and add the brown sugar and white sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.2. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
3. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and add it to the mixture. Cut the apple into small pieces and add them as well.
4. Add the fresh yeast and mix well.
5. Cover the pot with a cloth and let the mixture ferment in a warm place for 1-2 days until it starts to bubble.
6. Bottle the sima in clean bottles and add a few raisins to the bottom of each bottle. This will indicate when the sima is ready to drink.
7. Let the bottles chill in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 days before serving.
