Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (such as spaghetti or penne)
- 250 g fresh mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 100 ml cream
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Fresh basil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Chop the onion and garlic. Slice the mushrooms.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
4. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the moisture has evaporated.
5. Stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese into the mushroom mixture. Mix well and heat for a few minutes.
6. Combine the cooked pasta with the mushroom sauce. Add a bit of reserved pasta water if needed to make the sauce creamy and moist.
7. Season with salt and pepper. If desired, add fresh basil.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
