A delicious pesto made from fresh basil, perfect for pasta, salads, or sandwiches. Preparation time: 10 minutes
Serving size: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 2-3 cups fresh basil leaves - 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 1 cup olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Wash the basil leaves thoroughly and dry them. 2. Lightly toast the pine nuts in a pan until they turn slightly golden and fragrant.
3. Place the basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, grated Parmesan cheese, and peeled garlic cloves into a food processor.
4. Add the olive oil and blend until smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
