Ingredients:

- 1 small spring chicken (approximately 900 g)
- 50 g soft butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 200 g green asparagus
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. Season the spring chicken with salt, black pepper, and crushed garlic. Brush the surface with soft butter.
3. Place the chicken in a baking dish and roast in the oven for about 45-50 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked and the skin is beautifully golden brown.
4. Meanwhile, rinse the green asparagus and snap off the tough ends. Place the asparagus in boiling salted water and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
5. Drain the asparagus and transfer to a pan with a little butter. Add the lemon juice and fresh herbs. Sauté for a couple of minutes until the asparagus is warm and flavorful.
6. Serve the roasted spring chicken alongside the green asparagus. Optionally, garnish with lemon slices.
