A delicious and hearty tuna lasagna that will surprise you with its flavor. Preparation time is about 1 hour, and the recipe serves 4-6 people.Ingredients:
- 250 g lasagna sheets
- 2 cans of tuna in oil (about 400 g)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bell pepper
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 200 g flavored cream cheese
- 200 g grated cheese (e.g., mozzarella or Emmental)
- 2 dl cream
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Dice the bell pepper.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
3. Add the bell pepper and cook for a few more minutes.
4. Stir in the drained tuna, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
5. Mix the flavored cream cheese and cream into the sauce until smooth.
6. Grease a baking dish and layer the bottom with lasagna sheets. Spread a layer of the tuna sauce on top, then another layer of lasagna sheets. Continue layering until all ingredients are used.
7. Finish with a layer of lasagna sheets and sprinkle grated cheese and Parmesan on top.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 30-40 minutes, until the cheese is beautifully golden brown.
9. Let it rest for a moment before serving.
