Ingredients:
- 250 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 300 g broccoli
- 200 ml cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Add the broccoli to the pasta during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a bit of the cooking water.
3. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden.
4. Pour in the cream and heat, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Combine the pasta and broccoli with the creamy sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. If needed, add a little reserved cooking water for a creamier consistency.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
