A delicious paprika pie made with sweet seasonal peppers. This simple yet hearty vegetarian dish is best served with a fresh green salad. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 3-4 large bell peppers (various colors) - 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 3 eggs
- 150 g grated cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 ready-made pie crust
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). 2. Rinse and chop the bell peppers and onion. Sauté them in oil in a pan until they are soft. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
3. In a bowl, mix the cooking cream, eggs, grated cheese, salt, black pepper, and oregano.
4. Spread the sautéed pepper and onion mixture over the pie crust.
5. Pour the egg mixture over the peppers and level the surface.
6. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
7. Let cool slightly before serving.
