Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 cloves garlic
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
3. Grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices evenly in it.
4. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, garlic, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg together.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, ensuring all slices are covered.
6. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it over the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
