A delicious roasted brisket perfect for festive meals or family weekend dinners. The long cooking time ensures a tender and flavorful result.

Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg beef brisket
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth (or water)
- 2 onions, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions:
1. Take the brisket out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about an hour before cooking.
2. In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the surface of the brisket.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the brisket on all sides for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
4. Transfer the brisket to a roasting pan. Add the sliced onions, crushed garlic cloves, and bay leaves around the brisket in the pan.
5. Pour the beef broth (or water) into the pan around the brisket.
6. Cover the pan tightly with foil and place it in an oven preheated to 120°C (250°F).
7. Roast the brisket in the oven for about 6-8 hours until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
8. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest covered with foil for about 30 minutes before slicing.
