Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg beef brisket
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Smoking wood (e.g., oak or hickory)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the beef brisket by trimming excess fat and patting the meat dry with paper towels.
2. In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar.
3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the surface of the brisket and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
4. Preheat your smoker or grill to indirect heat at a temperature of about 110-120°C (230-250°F).
5. Add smoking wood to hot coals or the smoker and allow the smoking to begin.
6. Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for approximately 6-8 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 90°C (194°F).
7. Remove the brisket from the smoker and wrap it tightly in foil. Let it rest for about 30 minutes before slicing.
8. Slice the brisket into thin pieces and serve with your favorite sides.
