Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg brisket- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp coffee grounds (e.g., from Nespresso capsules)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked salt or vampire salt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1.5 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
1. Mix all the spices in a bowl.2. Rub the spice mixture evenly onto the brisket, ensuring it is well coated.
3. Wrap the meat tightly in plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
4. Remove the brisket from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
5. Preheat a smoker or grill pan over medium heat.
6. Place the brisket on the pan and cook for about 1.5-2 hours, turning occasionally, until the meat reaches the desired doneness (approximately 90°C).
7. Remove the brisket from the pan and let it rest under foil for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.
8. Slice and serve warm.
