Spring-inspired festive buns flavored with orange and raisins, topped with a delicious lemon icing.Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 12 buns
Ingredients
- Dough- 2 1/2 dl plant-based milk
- Grated zest of 1 large organic orange
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 dl sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- About 7 dl all-purpose flour
- 3/4 dl raisins
- 100 g margarine (blue package)
- Icing
- Just over 1 dl powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1. Heat the plant-based milk to about 42 degrees Celsius and mix in the grated orange zest.2. In a mixing bowl, combine dry yeast, sugars, salt, and some of the all-purpose flour.
3. Pour the warm milk mixture over the flour and mix well.
4. Add the remaining flour, raisins, and margarine. Knead the dough until smooth.
5. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about an hour.
6. Gently knead the dough again and divide it into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in silicone muffin molds.
7. Bake at 225 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes, until the buns are golden brown.
8. Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice. Spread it over the cooled buns.
