A delightful and colorful Easter treat that brings a joyful atmosphere to your festive table. These sweet buns are decorated with colorful candy sprinkles and icing.
Preparation Time: 1.5 hours
Serving Size: 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 2 dl milk
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 75 g butter, softened
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 dl colorful candy sprinkles
- 1 dl icing
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it's slightly lukewarm and dissolve the crumbled yeast in it.
2. Add sugar, salt, egg, cardamom, and most of the flour to the milk mixture. Mix well.
3. Incorporate the softened butter and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Add more flour if necessary.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
5. Once the dough has risen, divide it into 12 pieces and shape them into buns.
6. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise again for 20-30 minutes.
7. Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 10-15 minutes until they are beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow the buns to cool, then decorate them with icing and colorful candy sprinkles.
