Ingredients
- 200 g soft butter - 3 dl sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3.5 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 4-5 apples
- Sugar (for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). 2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
3. In a bowl, whisk the soft butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Peel and slice the apples, arranging the slices on top of the batter.
8. Sprinkle sugar over the apple slices.
9. Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through.
10. Allow to cool before serving.
