A delightful winter cake that enchants with its sweetness and soft texture.

Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 2 dl sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl shredded coconut
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 dl applesauce
- 250 g plain quark
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- Shredded coconut for decoration

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, shredded coconut, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the batter and mix until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
6. Allow the cake to cool before slicing it in half.
7. Spread applesauce on the first layer and place the second layer on top.
8. Whip the cream and mix in the quark and powdered sugar. Frost the cake with the vanilla cream-quark mixture.
9. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top for decoration.
10. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator before serving.
