Caramelized Apple Cake with Almond Topping

Ingredients:
- 3 medium apples
- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl melted butter
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl almond flour
- 1 dl almond flakes (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
2. Peel and slice the apples, then set them aside.
3. In a bowl, mix together the sugar and melted butter.
4. Add the eggs and whisk the mixture until fluffy.
5. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and cinnamon, then stir it into the batter.
6. Add the almond flour and mix until smooth.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and arrange the apple slices on top of the batter.
8. Sprinkle almond flakes over the cake.
9. Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through and golden brown.
10. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
