A delightful treat that brings the spirit of Christmas into your kitchen. These Christmas pastries are full of flavor and easy to make.

Serving Size: 12 pastries

Ingredients:

- 1 package of ready-made puff pastry
- 1 dl cinnamon-sugar mixture
- 1 dl applesauce or plum jam
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry into a thin sheet and cut it into squares (about 10x10 cm).
3. Make cuts at the corners of each square, but do not cut all the way through.
4. Place 1-2 teaspoons of applesauce or plum jam in the center of each square.
5. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
6. Fold the corners toward the center to form a star shape.
7. Brush the pastries with the beaten egg and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
