Delicious Finnish pastries filled with cheese and berry jam, perfect for festive occasions. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 12 pastries
Ingredients:
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 200 g Finlandia cheese
- 100 g berry jam (such as lingonberry or blueberry)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry into a thin sheet and cut it into squares.
3. Place about a teaspoon of berry jam and a small piece of Finlandia cheese in the center of each square.
4. Fold the corners of the pastry toward the center to form a package around the filling.
5. Brush the pastries with beaten egg.
6. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
