Ingredients:

- 1 package of ready-made puff pastry
- 200 g cream cheese (plain)
- 100 g smoked meat strips (e.g., ham or salmon)
- 1 dl finely chopped red onion
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. Roll out the puff pastry into a thin sheet and cut it into 12 squares.
3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, smoked meat strips, red onion, grated cheese, thyme, salt, and pepper.
4. Place about a tablespoon of filling in the center of each pastry square.
5. Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center and press securely to seal.
6. Brush the tarts with the beaten egg.
7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the tarts are golden brown and crispy.
